Rob Machado’s “The Drifter” by Sipping Jetsreams Media is looking like THE new direction in action sports cinema
October 8, 2009

After filming for 7 months in Bali, working with various companies and scores of film festivals around the world, “The Drifter” is almost in the “New Release” aisle of your local surf shop!
Rob and Taylor have really outdone themselves on this production of Rob’s life and times as of lately and how he’s probably surfing better than he ever has and is living life the absolute best he can. Rob has so many sides of his life with his various foundations that benefit children in all walks of life both locally where he’s from in Cardiff By The Sea, California, to the village in Bali where he helped establish a clean, convenient source of water. We all complain about the rising price of gas here in the US, but water is something you can’t do without.
The soundtrack is probably the best soundtrack I’ve ever had the honor of working on. With tracks from The Raconteurs, The Black Keys, Brett Dennen, Midlake, Tegan and Sara, Iron and Wine, The Shins, Jon Swift and many other that will tickle your audio sensors.

I can’t wait to see the movie. I found the rocking soundtrack and had to buy that too!
